Hi! I’m Kayla.
First of all, I’m so happy you are here! This Overseas Life came about after years of living in foreign countries. I’ve lived in five different countries and visited XX. I’m a nomad and an adventurer and my favorite feeling in the world is that first drive in a brand new country.
But living abroad sometimes can be TOUGH. The items you know and love can’t always be found, and even if you are lucky enough to find your favorite brand of peanut butter, the next time you go it is out of stock!
I was telling a friend about my idea for This Overseas Life, and he asked, “Why don’t you just Yelp! it?!” Because Yelp doesn’t exist overseas! We as a overseas community have been creative in putting together the data in WhatsApp Group chats, but they aren’t the best way to store and search data, especially for newcomers who don’t have access to the historical data. So this is my attempt at collecting all the helpful “datos” to help make your life overseas a bit easier.
